Blockstack is a decentralized computing network and app ecosystem. Apps (or "dapps") on Blockstack protect your digital rights and are powered by the Stacks blockchain. I contribute design product thinking, and limited front end development to multiple open source web applications built on this platform.
NoteRiot
NoteRiot is a popular Blockstack application used for note-taking. First a user of the product, I connected with creator Dan Trevino to redesign the future of this utility. Our redesign has not launched as of yet, but remains in active development.
Land Ho allows users to search the internet with their favorite search engines, while not building up an online profile on the respective platforms. Every query is saved to the user's account, while the results are displayed in an incognito view of the site. This idea won recognition in Blockstack's "Can't Be Evil Part 2 Contest" in the Most Delightful category.
Webby is a portal for discovering Blockstack apps and creating a list of favorites for easier future access.
There's a lot more to share on all of the above, and a few other projects/products not shared yet. I'll be looking to update this post with more soon. But in the meantime please feel free to reach out to me at layton@diament.co if you'd like to know more about these projects.
